Fandango returns to the ring 13 months after injury

WWE Superstar Fandango wrestled at a non-televised live event this week, teaming up with his tag team partner Tyler Breeze, 13 months after suffering an injury.

In July of last year, Fandango tore his left labrum in his shoulder and required to undergo surgery. The expected time out of the ring was six to nine months but the 38-year-old took a full year to recover.

During this week’s NXT, Fandango made a surprise return saving Breeze while he was being attacked by The Forgotten Sons. Then on Thursday, during the NXT event in St. Petersburg, Florida, Fandango tag teamed with Breeze to defeat Riddick Moss and Dorian Mak.

The two, known as Breezango, had been tag teaming since 2016 and were part of the popular Fashion Files backstage segments on WWE television. Without Fandango, Breeze was out of the picture completely and then he decided to return to NXT where his partner seems to have followed.
