Florida Governor wants all major events in the state postponed or canceled

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that cities and counties in his state should postpone or cancel any mass gathering over the next 30 days as the coronavirus pandemic keeps getting bigger every day.

DeSantis added that if the event is not canceled, event organizers should have screening measures in place to prevent people who have been exposed to the virus from entering.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the Governor said he did not have the authority to ban mass gatherings outright but is encouraging sports leagues and other organizers to host events without fans with the ability to watch them online.

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor will be meeting with officials and experts within the city and county at 1:30PM ET today to discuss the future of major events, including WrestleMania.
