Florida Governor wants WrestleMania again and says he can see fans at events in July

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has hinted that June or July would be an ideal scenario when they can see some fans attend sporting events including professional wrestling in the state.

DeSantis said that if the trends continue to be good, there will be a window to have some fans attend events. “You’re not going to have everyone packed in. But man, in 90-degree weather in the state of Florida, if you’re out there and someone is 10 feet away from you and you want to watch a ballgame or something, you may be able to do that,” he said at a press conference.

During the same press conference, the Governor said that he wanted WWE to continue filming in Orlando and he’d like them to do WrestleMania. “I want to keep that good relationship. I want them to invest in Florida,” he added. DeSantis also noted that the UFC is coming back to the state for three events in Jacksonville and thinks these will be good shows for the people.

WWE is taping all shows up until early July so there will be no fans for sure till then. There are rumors that WrestleMania 38 in 2022 might go to Tampa or even next year if Los Angeles is still not accepting mass events.
