2020 was one for the record books for many, but even more for Triple H as for the first time in 25 years since he has been working for WWE, he had no matches during the calendar year.
Triple H has managed to sneak in a match or two during the year over the past few years ever since he stopped wrestling full time for the company. Usually, when WrestleMania comes around, The Game is always part of the spectacle, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed things this year and Triple H was not part of the event at all, well, except for being backstage running things with his father-in-law and many others.
When asked several months ago how come he was missing from the card, Triple H acknowledged that no one brought his name up during the build for WrestleMania…and he didn’t mention it either. And with no Saudi shows this year either due to coronavirus, that meant that The Game celebrated his 25th anniversary in WWE without a match inside the squared circle.
His last match was back in June 2019 where he lost to Randy Orton during the Super ShowDown event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Although not officially retired, the WWE Hall of Famer surely has a few matches left under his belt.
