Former WWE Superstar Shawn Daivari hired as a producer

Former WWE Superstar Shawn Daivari has joined WWE in a producer role and is the latest addition to the team which has recently added Abyss, Sonjay Dutt, Shane Helms, and WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett.

The 34-year-old Minnesota native wrestled for WWE between 2004 and 2007, first as a manager to Muhammad Hassan, and then The Great Khali, before lacing up the boots himself. He was eventually released from the company in late 2007 and then joined TNA for two years where he won the X Division title. Daivari also had stints in Ring of Honor, Lucha Underground, and did many independent dates leading up to his rehiring at WWE.

His younger brother, Ariya, is part of the 205 Live roster and welcomed him to WWE on Twitter, posting a photo of the two together along with the words, “When I used to do my tryouts, my brother would always ask if people would “keep an eye out” for me. After I got signed, any opportunity I had to bring him to TV as my guest, I would. I wanted to return the favor. Thankfully, it helped land him his new role. Congrats bro!”
