Goldberg on Smackdown next week just days before Super ShowDown

Former WCW, World, and Universal champion Bill Goldberg will be appearing on Smackdown next week, 24 hours after The Undertaker shows up on Raw.

The two will be on the two broadcasts to promote their first ever one-on-one match at the Super ShowDown pay-per-view next week in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Goldberg has not been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 33 two years ago. On that night, he lost the Universal title to Brock Lesnar in Orlando, Florida. The next day on Raw, Goldberg appeared in front of fans after the show went off the air to thank them for the incredible support fans gave him during his return. He never closed the door on another return and with Saudi Arabia paying big money, it seems like the perfect time for one more match.

The Undertaker will also be appearing for the first time since the night after WrestleMania where on Raw he disposed of Elias. Taker missed WrestleMania, his first one in two decades but is ready for his third trip to Saudi in a year. The Undertaker was also a part of The Greatest Royal Rumble and Crown Jewel pay-per-view.

Goldberg on Smackdown will surely help the show’s number a little bit and it was smart to keep the two away from each other until Super ShowDown.
