Gran Metalik requests release from WWE

The lucha libre website MasLucha.com is reporting that Gran Metalik has requested his WWE release.

The 32-year-old’s current deal with WWE expires at the end of 2022 and he has not been used much lately on WWE television. The report on Mas Lucha states that Metalik wants to leave due to lack of opportunities he is getting as part of the roster.

Metalik has been signed to WWE since 2016 and was a finalist in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic but lost to TJ Perkins. Lately, Metalik has teamed with Lince Dorado as part of Lucha House Party.
