Hell In A Cell 2017 Pick’Em report

Hey Everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA with you for today’s Hell in a Cell PPV Pick’Em Report. Today, I’m joined by our fearless Editor-in-Chief Colin Vassallo. Thanks again for your time and effort buddy!

Kickoff Match: Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin vs. Hype Bros

Colin: Not really interested in this match. Gable/Benjamin win.

Magnum: I think this is the match that finally pushes the Hype Bros. off the edge. Give it to the new American Alpha.

Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler

Colin: I’m a big fan of Bobby Roode. I like Dolph Ziggler too, I think he’s a fantastic worker and under utilized. At this point, Roode needs the win more than Ziggler does. Ever since he moved up from NXT, Roode has been kinda lost. He needs the W here so I’m going for Bobby.

Magnum: There’s a theory I have…those who get the push will get the duke. I’m digging Roode here as well.

Rusev vs. Randy Orton

Colin: Vince loves Randy. So Randy wins. BTW, I can’t wait for Orton to turn heel again. That’s when he’s at his best.

Magnum: This seems like a placeholder match for Randy, but again…I think there’s something to be said about getting a push. Unless Rusev is being punished for something…I could see a massive upset here. Give me RUSEV MACHKA.

Smackdown Women’s Championship Match: Natalya (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

Colin: Do they go the sentimental way and give Charlotte the title? I don’t know, it took Natalya a LONG time to get that title and I would think they would give her a longer reign. I say Nattie wins, somehow. Might not be a clean victory though.

Magnum: I think tonight’s the night. Charlotte wins the title to get the crowd behind her…and then F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. Cash-in time! Carmella walks out with the gold.

United States Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. Baron Corbin

Colin: If Corbin wins, we’ll know he’s out of the shithouse. Me thinks AJ Styles retains. Styles doesn’t really need the title, but he makes the title seem more important.

Magnum: Doghouses typically last a little longer than 90 days. Give me AJ Styles to retain the championship.

Hell in a Cell Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) vs. The Usos

Colin: They have traded the titles a couple of times already. This can be the best match on the card to be honest. I like The Usos as heels. It’s time for these two teams to move on from each other as they have been feuding since July. The New Day retains.

Magnum: This is the match where The Usos finally establish themselves as the top dogs in Smackdown. No tag team has impressed me more with their evolution. These guys are ready to stake their claim. Usos take it.

WWE Championship Match: Jinder Mahal (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Colin: I think it’s time to pull the plug on Mahal as the champion. The problem is Nakamura still can’t cut a decent promo. With the India tour coming up, logic would say that Mahal would go there as the champion. But Nakamura already lost at SummerSlam. Two losses in a row would spell the end of this one. Nakamura for the W. Not necessarily a new champion though.

Magnum: If they give Nakamura a win without the title here, it’s as bad as a loss. Unfortunately, I don’t see Nakamura winning either. I think someone interferes in this match to give Shinsuke a fresh, new opponent at Survivor Series. Sadly, that means the JBL reign of Jinder Mahal continues. Mahal for the W.

Hell in a Cell Match: Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens

Colin: This is a tough one. They keep putting Shane in matches and he always loses. Perhaps, this is the match that he gets the win and revenge for his father. With this being a falls count anywhere match, it’s already saying that action will spill out of the cage somehow. Probably McMahon will get some help. Shane wins this one.

Magnum: I’ve heard rumors about Kevin Owens returning to Raw, so this should be one hell of a send-off. I think we’ll see KO try something we’ve never seen before, so I do hope for his safety. Owens gets the win in a brutal match, and a renewed push on Raw begins here. KO for the W.

Thanks everyone for reading! Enjoy HELL IN A CELL tonight! See you later this month for TLC!
