Ivar of The Viking Raiders suffers injury on Raw

One half of The Viking Raiders, Ivar, suffered an injury last night on Raw during an eight-man tag team match.

The injury occurred when Ivar did a suicide dive, landing badly and immediately notifying the official of what happened by doing the X hand sign. The action quickly continued in the ring and after Ricochet missed a 630, Alexander hit him with the Michinoku Driver for the pinfall. Ricochet kicked out at two and even the commentators noted that but the referee ended the match due to the injury by hitting the three count.

WWE acknowledged the injury by issuing a statement after Raw writing, “During the eight-man tag team match on Monday Night Raw, Ivar suffered a cervical injury on a Viking Dive to the floor. As a precaution, Ivar was transported to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.”
