Iyo Sky wins the WWE Women’s World title on Raw

Iyo Sky shocked Raw viewers last night after she defeated Rhea Ripley to become the new WWE Women’s World champion, securing her spot on the WrestleMania 41 card.

The match, which main evented Raw on Netflix, had Bianca Belair at ringside and she got physical with Ripley at one point, only for referee Jessika Carr to break it off.

Ripley’s mistake was taunting Belair before hitting her Riptide finisher off the top rope, with Sky reversing it with a hurricanrana and then a moonsault for the pinfall victory.

The title change got a huge pop from the crowd, with probably no one expecting that result so close to WrestleMania.

This is her first run with the Women’s World title and is a grand slam champion having won the WWE Women’s and NXT Women’s titles as well as the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.
