Apart from Bobby Roode, another Superstar was ringside at NXT Takeover: Dallas yesterday and his name is Kota Ibushi.

Ibushi was accompanied by former WWE star Funaki and backstage posed for a photo with NXT’s William Regal as well. WWE did not announce that he signed with the company however in an article on WWE.COM they wrote, “Does the man they call ‘Golden Star’ have plans to enter his name into the recently announced Global Cruiserweight Series? What dream matchup could be in store for Ibushi?”

The 33 year old is a Japanese pro wrestler who in New Japan Pro Wrestling won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight title three times and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team title once. He resigned from NJPW in February of this year and is currently a free agent. He spent a large portion of his wrestling career working for the DDT – Dramatic Tag Team – promotion.
