John Cena to be special guest on WWE Backstage premiere episode

Former 16-time WWE champion John Cena will be the special guest on the premiere episode of WWE Backstage on Tuesday, November 5.

His involvement was announced by host Renee Young yesterday during the second preview episode which aired immediately following Smackdown on FS1.

Cena was last seen on WWE television during the Raw Reunion show in July but has not wrestled since January. He did show up at WrestleMania 35 in his old Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick, interrupting the Elias concert. He has recently wrapped up filming the ninth installment of the Fast & Furious movie.

Big WWE fan Rob Gronkowski, who is now on the FOX Sports payroll, will also be appearing on this premiere episode.

WWE Backstage is hosted by Renee Young with Booker T, Christian, and Paige serving on the panel.
