John Oliver rips into WWE during 23-minute rant on HBO’s Last Week Tonight

WWE got ripped to pieces by John Oliver in a 23-minute rant during yesterday’s Last Week Tonight on HBO.

The first three minutes of the rant were positive, where Oliver even proclaims that he’s a big wrestling fan, but the 20 minutes that followed were…not very flattering for WWE.

Oliver touched subjects such as deaths in professional wrestling and how former WWE Superstars die at a young age, the whole independent contractor status that WWE puts on all their performers even though in reality they are full-time employees, how they take care of their Superstars, and more. The video already has over 1.1 million views on YouTube.

This is not the first time that Oliver picked on WWE. Late last year, Oliver blasted WWE for going to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel just weeks after Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Turkey.
