Jordan Devlin moving to NXT 2.0 under a new name

Jordan Devlin is coming to NXT 2.0 and will be arriving under a new name: JD McDonagh.

The former NXT Cruiserweight champion will be transitioning from NXT UK full time after he lost a loser leaves town match against Ilja Dragunov in late April.

He was re-introduced to the NXT audience last night in a vignette, with his new gimmick being a very wealthy individual from Dublin.

Devlin wrestled for NXT in 2020 but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, he returned home and couldn’t travel back to the United States due to the travel ban. He has been under a WWE deal since 2017 when NXT UK was launching.

He is the latest from the NXT UK roster to move full time to the United Kingdom, following Gunther, former NXT Tag
