Kamala’s estate signs WWE Legends deal five years after his death

In a post on Facebook, the family of former WWE Superstar Kamala announced that his estate signed a WWE Legends deal, five years after his death.

“We couldn’t be prouder that James’s legacy is back home where it belongs,” wrote Emmer Jean Harris, wife of James “Kamala” Harris.

Jared Ashley, CEO and Founder of 16 Creative, the agency which worked with his estate to negotiate a deal with WWE, said that when they began working with the family, the main goal was to sign Kamala to a Legends deal and hopefully an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

“I’ve always felt that’s where he belongs, and I think many of his fans would agree,” he said. “It has been such an honor to work with this family over the past few years, and now with WWE, to help preserve Kamala’s incredible legacy.”

Known as “The Ugandan Giant,” Harris lost his life at the age of 70 due to a cardiac arrest after a bout with COVID-19.
