Kevin Nash says he was invited for Sting’s retirement but WWE denied request

On his latest episode of Kliq This podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash revealed that Sting invited him to be part of the festivities for his retirement match but WWE denied Nash permission to show up.

Nash said that because of his deal with WWE, he can’t even be in the crowd, let alone appear on the pay-per-view.

“I think he wanted me to be there because one of the guys that’s been with him the whole run, right? Yeah. I think he was disappointed. I mean, I was disappointed, but I knew. I asked. When you ask, and there’s that three, four-second pause…” Nash said.

Nash and Sting go way back to early 90s and eventually aligned together in the nWo as part of the WCW angle and as well in TNA with Main Event Mafia.

You can hear Nash discuss Sting’s final match and the invitation around the one-hour mark on the February 19 episode of his podcast.
