Kofi Kingston gets an opportunity to earn his WWE title match at WrestleMania

The odds have been stacked against Kofi Kingston and his dream to wrestle for the WWE title at WrestleMania 35 against Daniel Bryan.

But despite the odds, Kingston has a chance to earn that title shot after WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon gave him an opportunity…as long as he wins a massive gauntlet match next week on Smackdown.

And Kofi’s opponents aren’t easy either: Randy Orton, United States champion Samoa Joe, The Bar, and Erick Rowan. If Kofi beats all five next week, he gets his title shot at WrestleMania.

The last time Kofi entered a gauntlet match, he lasted over an hour and eliminated three of the five opponents he had to face. He got the place in the gauntlet match after Mustafa Ali was deemed unable to compete. At the Elimination Chamber a few days later, Kofi had another impressive outing but at the end lost to Bryan. The pay-per-view ended with Kofi getting a standing ovation from the crowd rather than with the champion celebrating.

The former multi-time tag team title holder is also gathering a lot of support from his peers on social media who are using the hash tag #KofiMania to show their support.
