With Monday Night Raw falling on a holiday in two days time, WWE announced a steel cage match for the broadcast involving one of the most over stars at the moment.
The Labor Day edition of Raw will feature Braun Strowman taking on new-look Big Show inside a 15-foot high steel cage. Their last match, in April of this year, saw the ring implode after a massive suplex from the second rope, sending the referee flying.
Raw shows that fall on a holiday tend to suffer from a dip in viewership, sometimes a considerable dip depending on the holiday. This year has been the exception somewhat as Raw registered an increase on Martin Luther King, President’s Day, and only had 3,000 less viewers than the previous week on Memorial Day.
