Lashley vs McIntyre announced for WrestleMania Backlash

One of the main events of Backlash, now marketed as WrestleMania Backlash, will feature Drew McIntyre taking on Bobby Lashley for the WWE title.

McIntyre won a triple threat match last night on Raw against Braun Strowman and Randy Orton, earning another title shot but his night did not end on a good note as T-Bar and Mace of Retribution attacked McIntyre from behind, taking him out.

The Lashley vs McIntyre match is the first one announced for the card. The show is officially being promoted as WrestleMania Backlash, with the date of May 16, giving WWE just over a month to build it up.

Last year, Money in the Bank was the first pay-per-view to take place after WrestleMania.
