Lilian Garcia addresses WWE release rumors

Raw ring announcer Lilian Garcia addressed the rumors that have been swirling around for the past few days that she has been released from WWE. “That’s when I knew I had to set the story straight,” Garcia said after she woke up this morning to see her name trending on Twitter.

Lilian said that her father has been battling bladder and myeloma cancer and a due to a reaction to chemotherapy he became very ill over the past two weeks. Her father also had to undergo two emergency procedures on his kidneys and WWE gave her time off to be with her family and that’s the reason she was not at the Payback pay-per-view and Raw.

She thanked WWE for their support and love and said that they have been constantly checking on her and gave her all the time she needed to be with her father. “I feel so proud to work for a company that cares so much,” she wrote in a post on her Facebook.

“So, on to Monday, I will be back on RAW and couldn’t be happier as I have missed you all very much!! Thank you and I love you,” Garcia concluded.
