Lilian Garcia performs U.S. national anthem at MSG before Smackdown

Former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia was brought back to Smackdown last night in Madison Square Garden to perform the U.S. national anthem before the Smackdown broadcast kicked off on FOX.

Just like she did 20 years ago at the Smackdown in Houston, Garcia knocked it out of the park with a rousing rendition of the national anthem and the New York crowd loved it.

Garcia is also part of the Never Forget WWE documentary which was released yesterday and she explained how Vince McMahon asked her to perform the anthem live on TV and remarked how she felt the weight of the world coming on her shoulders at that moment.

Garcia also noted how backstage, The Rock approached her with words of encouragement and told her, “You got this, kid,” before she had to go out and sing.

You can check out Lilian’s performance of the U.S. anthem from yesterday below.
