Lio Rush coming to 205 Live

205 Live will get a much-needed addition to its roster with the arrival of Lio Rush, the 23-year-old who is under a WWE deal and who is considered one of the best high-flyers in the business.

A vignette to promote his arrival to the brand aired last night on the 205 Live WWE Network episode.

At the end of October of last year, Rush got in trouble after he tweeted an improper remark when WWE released Emma. “I guess these are the things that happen when you’re not TRULY ready for Asuka,” Rush wrote. His tweet was met with a barrage of negative feedback from his peers including one from Bray Wyatt who suggested that with that attitude, he was not going to last long with the wolves.

Rush was punished by being taken off television and faced several weeks of uncertainty but he lucked out and was not fired. He released a statement apologizing for his tweet.

The Maryland native has been signed to a WWE deal since August 2017 and WWE described it as a “blockbuster signing” at the time.
