Lynch, Rousey, and Flair appear on ESPN SportsCenter to discuss historic main event

The three main eventers of WrestleMania 35 – Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair – were all on ESPN SportsCenter today to discuss the historic match that will close out the show, becoming the first women ever to main event the biggest pay-per-view of the year in its 35-year history.

All three individuals sat next to each other as they discussed what this moment means to them respectively.

Becky said that she has been working obsessively on this since she was aged 15 and told one of her friends once that she would be main eventing WrestleMania one day. Charlotte explained how this is the pinnacle of the women’s evolution in the WWE and two years ago it might have sounded impossible that they would be the top billing of WrestleMania. Rousey said she was “expecting it” but was really happy when it was confirmed. She said when she came to the WWE a year ago her plan was to be part of the first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania. Rousey thinks that they can effect real social change on how women view themselves.
