Matt Hardy vows to return to the ring, shoots down retirement rumors

Matt Hardy, who has been out of action since mid-September, has vowed to return to the ring, claiming that he’s currently in the best shape in years.

Responding to a fan on Twitter who raised up the retirement question, Hardy said he is not retired and will not be retiring anytime soon. “I’ve worked my ass off to rehabilitate & have physically been greenlit,” Matt wrote. “My body is in the best shape it’s been in in years & I’m the lightest I’ve been in 20 years.”

In a video uploaded after a non-televised live event in Corpus Christi, Texas, in September 2018, Hardy said that it was “most likely the last time you’ll ever see Woken Matt Hardy in a WWE ring.”

His current WWE deal expires in March along with that of his brother Jeff and time will tell if Hardy will truly return to a WWE ring or if he ventures off to a different place once his contract expires.
