Matt Riddle makes in-ring NXT debut at non-televised event

Matt Riddle made his much-anticipated in-ring NXT debut yesterday at a non-televised live event in Sanford, Florida.

Riddle, wrestling barefoot, went up against Fabian Archer and won his debut match. He made his first NXT televised appearance at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4 last month and was shown sitting at ringside.

The former MMA fighter still has one more final indie show to participate in and that will come on September 30 for PROGRESS Wrestling at SSE Wembley in London, England. Riddle is rumored to be wrestling Kassius Ohno at the upcoming NXT Takeover: WarGames 2 in Los Angeles during the Survivor Series weekend in November.
