Matt Riddle meets “bro” Goldberg backstage and details awkward encounter

There is one particular NXT star who isn’t a fan of Goldberg…and he’s quite vocal about it. Matt Riddle has kept it no secret he doesn’t like the former champ and had a ball when Goldberg knocked himself out in Saudi Arabia during his match against The Undertaker.

Today, WWE cameras filmed the first encounter between the two and Riddle, who joined Pat McAfee on the WWE Watch Along show on YouTube for the Goldberg/Ziggler match, recounted the awkward encounter for everyone.

Riddle said he was walking around backstage and saw Goldberg’s locker room and tried to get a peak in. “All of a sudden, wham, big shoulder. 300 pounds at least. I look up, it’s Bill Goldberg,” Riddle said.

“He goes, ‘We got some talking to do!’ And I’m like, ‘Well we can talk anytime bro!’ He’s like, ‘yeah?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah!’ And I was like, ‘Alright, bro…anytime.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m not your bro!’ And I’m like, ‘Alright, bro. Take it easy,” Riddle continued as Titus O’Neil, Shayna Baszler, and McAfee started laughing.

“And then he’s like, ‘Yeah, we’ll see. I’ll see ya later. And hey…it was a pleasure meeting you.’ And I go, ‘The pleasure was all mine, bro.’ And then he goes, ‘I’m not your bro.’ And then I walked away, I had to come here!”
