Matt Riddle moves to the Smackdown brand from NXT

Matt Riddle wrestled his last match in NXT this week, losing to Timothy Thatcher in the cage fight in the main event of the USA Network broadcast.

The King of Bros is now officially moving to the Smackdown roster for good and that news was given by WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle who last night appeared on Smackdown to introduce Riddle to the Smackdown audience.

Angle said that he had the honor to referee Riddle’s last match in NXT and this is all about the future.

Riddle spent nearly three years in NXT, first showing up at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV and then making his debut in late October. He was one of the biggest fan favorites in NXT throughout his stint there and won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the NXT Tag Team titles with Pete Dunn.
