McIntyre and Asuka pulled from the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments

Both Drew McIntyre and Asuka were pulled from the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments due to respective injuries.

McIntyre, who was on Raw, was informed by Raw GM Adam Pearce that he was pulled out of the show due to his hyper-extended elbow injury. He was set to face Finn Balor, but Jey Uso replaced him.

Asuka was also taken out of the tournament and was replaced by fellow Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai. Kai went on to wrestle former NXT Women’s champion Lyra Valkyria in the tournament.

The Empress of Tomorrow last wrestled at Backlash this past weekend, losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles with Kairi Sane to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
