McMahon discusses the hiring of Heyman and Bischoff as new Executive Directors

WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon said he hired the two Executive Directors for Raw and Smackdown to allow him to “look at a longer-range story” and also spend more time on talent development.

Speaking to investors, McMahon said their appointment will also free him from “not get into the weeds” as much as he had to do in the past and considers the hiring a good thing both on short-term and long-term.

“Both of these individuals have extensive backgrounds in the business from various aspects and with the organizational aspects that they have and the depth of talent, executive talent we now attract is going to be really good for our business,” McMahon said.

When asked how much freedom both Bischoff and Heyman will have in their new full-time roles, McMahon said they’ll have “a lot of latitude” although he would still be doing supervision.
