Melina returning to WWE as early as next week

PWInsider.com is reporting that former WWE Women’s champion Melina is returning to the company and is expected to be on television within the next week.

Melina, now 41 years old, last appeared on WWE television during the Raw Reunion episode in July of last year but has not worked for the company since she was released in 2011.

Prior to being released, she spent eight years with the promotion, signing her deal in 2004. She was sent to developmental before she was brought to the main roster in 2005.

She is best known for being the manager of MNM, the former tag team of Joey Mercury and John Morrison. She transitioned to singles competition in 2006, winning the Divas title twice and the Women’s title three times.
