Michael Cole and Pat McAfee congratulate Sting on retirement during Raw

WWE congratulated Sting on his retirement last night through Michael Cole and Pat McAfee during their commentary on Monday Night Raw.

At the beginning of the Gunther vs Dominik Mysterio match, Cole said, “After nearly 40 years, the great Sting has retired from professional wrestling. Thanks for the memories, congratulations to Sting.”

Pat McAfee quickly added that Sting had an “absolutely epic match last night” before the two resumed their regular commentary.

While TNA sent their congratulations to Sting via a social media post, WWE did not follow suit although several Superstars, including Cody Rhodes, paid tribute to The Icon on social media.
