MITB pay-per-view possibly running longer than 3 hours

Our good friend and WWE Italy commentator Luca Franchini sent in word that WWE has alerted its broadcast partners that the Money In The Bank pay-per-view might run longer than the usual three hours.

The encore presentations of Money In The Bank on Sky Italia’s PPV service Primafila have been scheduled to run for four hours, from Noon to 4PM and 4PM to 8PM starting Monday June 20 till Thursday, June 23. This doesn’t mean that the show will run for four hours but WWE will be having an overrun, with the exact time not revealed to its partners.

We have no confirmation that this will be the norm going forward or if it’s just for this pay-per-view alone. WrestleMania 32 had a marathon broadcast and it was the first ever WWE pay-per-view to go past the four hour mark, with the show nearly touching five hours plus a two hour pre-show for a total of seven hours of live broadcast.
