Monday Night Raw TV report for 05/02/2022

Arena: Greensboro Coliseum at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex
City: Greensboro, NC

Raw opens with The Bloodline. Paul Heyman gets the microphone first and welcomes everyone to Monday Night Raw.

Roman Reigns asks for North Carolina to acknowledge him and out of no where RK-Bro hit both Usos with RKOs. Drew McIntyre then comes to the ring and Roman Reigns is on his own. RK-Bro then leave the ring and Reigns and McIntyre start fighting, Usos back in to attack McIntyre but RK-Bro come back in to even the numbers.

The Street Profits are shown (from earlier) and Ezekiel walked up to introduce himself, but Montez Ford says I know you, you are Ezekiel. Ezekiel is handed a red cup from off screen they toast and drink.

The Alpha Academy interrupts and blames Ezekiel for tricking the lie detector test as Kevin Owens shows up as well and calls Ezekiel a fraud and called the Street Profits idiots.

The Street Profits says they are going to beat the three of them later and as they went for the we want the smoke. Owens grabs the cup out of Ezekiel’s hand and throws the contents of the cup onto Ezekiel.

The Street Profits & Ezekiel VS. Alpha Academy & Kevin Owens

Gable goes for the rollup on Ezekiel but Ezekiel elbows out of it and runs off the ropes only to get tripped by Kevin Owens and Gable grabs Ezekiel and rolls him up for the three count.

Winners: Alpha Academy & Kevin Owens

A.J. Styles is interviewed in the back about his match with Damian Priest tonight and if he beats Priest tonight, he is barred from ringside at Backlash. If he doesn’t it’s going to be an uphill battle.

They show Sonya Deville package from last week.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are shown in the back. Adam tells her upper management is looking into her conduct. Upper management wants to see her in action again and without any executive powers.

Veer Mahaan VS. Bert Hanson

Hanson is interviewed in the ring by Byron Saxton and Hanson says Veer scares the living daylights out of him, but he has wanted to work on Monday Night Raw in front of his hometown crowd all his life and he is making his dream come true.

Veer destroys Hanson in short time. Cervical Clutch for the win.

Winner by submission: Veer Mahaan

After the match Veer kicks Hanson out of the ring and then throws him back in and locks him back in the Cervical Clutch with the middle ring rope.

A.J. Styles VS. Damian Priest

Prior to the match, Edge talks about people not liking him anymore and says it is only because they don’t like themselves and they can’t look in the mirror without getting sick or should. As he continues his rant, Styles’ music hits.

Match starts, Styles goes right after Priest and Priest retaliates. Styles goes for the phenomenal forearm but is caught by Priest for a chokeslam but only gets a 2 count. Styles goes for the calf crusher, but Edge is on the ring apron and distracts Styles, Priest goes after Styles who ducks and pushes Priest stomach first into the ropes then the rollup for the 3 count

Winner: A.J. Styles

After the match, Edge attacks Styles immediately. Edge throws Styles to Priest for a final Reckoning then lays a chair under the arm of Styles. Finn Balor’s music hits and he comes in for the save. Edge and Priest run out of the ring, as Styles looks at Balor and just smiles then they stare at each other Styles offers the too sweet and Balor accepts.

MVP and Omos in the back, Cedric Alexander comes in and says he wants to realign with MVP not with Shelton Benjamin just by himself and he wants to prove himself in a match with Bobby Lashley tonight.

The Miz comes out for MizTV.

Special guest is Mustafa Ali. Miz asks if he can call him Must and Ali tries to answer but the microphone does not work. Miz tells Ali not to go to Twitter and complain. Ali then grabs his microphone, Ali says when the Miz feels unheard he whines to WWE officials, when he feels unheard, he goes to the universe because they are the only ones that matter. Theory interrupts.

Theory says Ali gets a championship contenders match tonight and it’s going to be against Theory and the Miz in a handicap match.

The Miz & Theory VS. Mustafa Ali

The Miz sends Ali into the ropes, Ali runs past Miz, Theory pulls the ropes open and Ali falls to the floor, Theory tags in and beats on Ali, Miz back in. Ali hits the neck breaker on the Miz, Theory breaks up the count, Ali thrown outside and gets back in to get his with a Skull crushing finale.

Winners: The Miz & Theory

After the match, Ciampa attacks Ali.

They show footage from earlier today, Dana Brooke and Reggie arguing, they run into R-Truth, and she demanded an apology for trying to pin her last week. Tamina and Tozawa come in and start arguing, Nikki A.S.H. runs in and attacks Dana and pins her with a referee counting the 3 count.

New 24/7 Champion: Nikki A.S.H.

Nikki A.S.H. VS. Dana Brooke for the 24/7 Championship

Dana hit Nikki with a neck breaker for the win.

Winner and New 24/7 Champion: Dana Brooke

After the match, Tozawa attempted to pin Dana but got pulled off by R-Truth, R-Truth then attempted to pin Dana, Tamina interrupts and Dana runs out, Reggie rolls up Dana outside the ring but Dana kicks out. Dana then slaps Reggie and runs over to the announce desk and yells at Reggie and says she wants a divorce.

They show Becky Lynch and Asuka’s returns from last week. Lynch is then interviewed in the back. Lynch says this is her comeback story and it starts with ending Asuka.

Seth Rollins is out next for Seth “Freakin” Rollins appreciation night. Crowd starting chanting Cody. Seth says he tried to steal his spotlight, but Seth is his own spotlight. Seth says you forgotten how good I am, but I love to remind you, I had a highlight reel put together and as he went to go to his highlights, Cody Rhodes music hits.

Seth asks why you are sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong. Cody says congratulations, but what is this all about? Cody says he could say Seth is one of the best wrestlers in the last 20 years and it would be true. Cody says he could call Seth delusional, and it would also be true.

Seth says Dusty was delusional and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and Dusty wanted to be WWE Champion, but he just wasn’t good enough and as long as he is there Cody isn’t good enough either. A fight started and Cody hit the Cody cutter and Rollins runs from the ring.

Bobby Lashley VS. Cedric Alexander

Omos and MVP come out to the stage. Lashley threw Alexander out of the ring and picked him up and rammed his head into the corner post then after throwing Alexander back in the ring, Lashley hit a spear on Alexander then put Alexander in the hurt lock.

Winner by Submission: Bobby Lashley

Sarah Schreiber interviews Liv Morgan backstage and asks why she ambushed Rhea Ripley last week, Liv started out by saying she just did the same thing Ripley did to her. She thinks Ripley is disappointed in herself, but she will not take anymore beatings from her and if she doesn’t believe her just watch her.

Reggie is shown talking to R-Truth and Truth asks Reggie if he signed a prenup and Reggie says no, and Truth says if he doesn’t know what a prenup is he needs his services as a divorce attorney and hands Reggie a card. Truth begins to rattle off titles and walks away.

Nikki A.S.H. is sitting in the back looking down and Doudrop walks in and asks if she is done playing around and ready to take things more seriously and Nikki says yes and Doudrop puts her hand on Nikki’s shoulder.

Becky Lynch, Sonya Deville & Rhea Ripley VS. Asuka, Liv Morgan & Bianca Belair

Ripley and Deville superplex Belair to the mat, Deville for the pin but Morgan breaks up the count, Asuka gets tagged in, Asuka kicks Deville, pin attempt but only 2.

Morgan tags in, Asuka runs and knocks Deville down off the apron right onto a double knee from Morgan. Back in the ring, Deville multiple pin attempts on Morgan but only 2 counts, Deville then tries to pin Morgan with her feet on the ropes, but Deville begins to argue with the ref and Morgan hits oblivion and gets the win on Deville.

Winners: Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan & Asuka
