Monday Night Raw TV report for 08/15/2022

Arena: Capital One Arena
City: Washington, DC

Raw opens with the Judgment Day. Rhea says they run Monday Night Raw and Damian Priest says he is going to destroy Edge next week and asked the crowd if he wanted to confront him tonight. He laughs and tells the fans that’s too bad because Edge is not here tonight.

While Priest continued to taunt Edge, Rey Mysterio comes in and attacks The Judgment Day. Finn brought a chair in, but Rey was able to kick Finn and take the chair. Chair shots to Finn and Priest but Rey refuses to hit Rhea. Rhea then grabs the chair and The Judgment Day take over beating down Rey. Finn hits a Coup De Grace on the chair which Priest and Ripley placed on top of Rey.

Asuka & Alexa Bliss VS. Nikki A.S.H. & Doudrop in a Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament match

After escaping a Michinoku Driver from Doudrop, Asuka was able to get the tag to Alexa who hit the DDT on Doudrop then tagged Asuka back in. Asuka wrapped up Doudrop up in a submission move and Alexa grabs Nikki and smacks her back down to the floor as Doudrop taps out.

Winners: Asuka & Alexa Bliss

After the match, as they were walking up the ramp with Bianca Belair who was at ringside for the match, Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai are standing behind them clapping and an argument ensued, but officials quickly arrive to stop any fighting.

In the back, Theory is interviewed by Kevin Patrick. As Theory was talking about his next chance at cashing in the Money in the Bank contract, Dolph Ziggler comes in and Theory tells him he is a no title-having has been and when Theory does cash in and win the championship, he is just going to keep winning and not screw up his career like Dolph did. Dolph headbutts him and they begin fighting.

Sarah Schreiber interviews Ciampa and The Miz in the back. Ciampa says he came to Monday Night Raw to become a champion and next chance he gets he is going to become a champion. The Miz gives Ciampa a necklace for his appreciation.

The Miz & Ciampa VS. Cedric Alexander & Mustafa Ali

Good back and forth match with Ciampa hitting the Fairy Tale Ending after catching Ali with a knee to the face coming out of the 450 splash.

Winners: The Miz & Ciampa

They show a picture of Ezekiel in the hospital with all his siblings and parents around him and his dad Ernie said he wants to get his hands on Kevin Owens.

Drew McIntyre in the ring and says he is suffering from a bit of a back injury. He says this isn’t a job, this is his dream, and he wants to face the likes of Ciampa, A.J. Styles, Seth Rollins, Karrion Kross, etc in the future.

Kevin Owens comes out.

Kevin says he missed the Kevin Owens who they used to call the prize fighter and it has been 5 long years since he has been a champion and now he is coming after all the champions. Drew said he is tired of people making things up and there are two wrestlers in the ring…so why don’t they just wrestle? Kevin says let’s do it.

Kevin Owens VS. Drew McIntyre

Great match but as Drew was setting up for a Claymore, he gets attacked by the Usos.

Winner By DQ: Drew McIntyre

After the match, The Usos continue to beat down Drew. Jey goes for a splash, but Drew moves then clotheslines Jimmy who rolls out of the ring then Drew sends Jey flying over the top rope landing on Jimmy’s back. As Drew turns around, Owens hits Drew with a Stunner. Owens then yells out to The Usos, to tell their Tribal Chief he owes him one. The Usos go back after Drew but Drew fights back.

They show Riddle getting a microphone hooked up and Seth Rollins comes out. Seth says he is there to hear Riddle’s announcement. Riddle says he does have a health update and he is medically cleared and next time he sees him, it’s on! Seth, he wishes he was here right now because he would love to stomp his last remaining brain cells in. Riddle says he is actually here in DC and is coming.

Riddle comes out and they begin to brawl. Seth goes for the stomp on the announce desk, but Riddle moves then knees Seth in the face over the railing at ringside then Seth runs up the stairs and Riddle gives chase.

Kevin Patrick is in the back with Riddle and Riddle says Clash at the Castle…be there.

Veer Mahaan VS. Beaux Keller

After a few impressive moves by Keller including a dropkick, Mahaan took over.

Winner by Submission: Veer Mahaan

Bobby Lashley VS. AJ Styles for the United States championship

As the match is going on, out come the Miz and Ciampa who are now at ringside. Ciampa gets on the apron and is distracting the referee. As the Miz sneaks toward AJ on the floor, Dexter Lumis jumps over the railing with security trying to get him by the announce table and they cut to break.

Back from break, Ciampa and The Miz were sent to the back. Lashley finally hit AJ with a spear for the win.

Winner and Still United States Champion: Bobby Lashley

Dana Brooke VS. Dakota Kai

This is a non title match and Brooke’s 24/7 title was not on the line. Kai hit Dana with a running boot to the face for the win.

Winner: Dakota Kai

Theory VS. Dolph Ziggler

Main event time. Another back-and-forth match but the end came with Theory hitting A-Town Down for the win.

Winner: Theory
