New WWE Undisputed Universal championship unveiled on Smackdown

A new WWE Undisputed Universal championship was unveiled last night on Smackdown, replacing the two separate WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship.

The new belt is exactly the same as the other ones but has a gold center plate with a black WWE logo and Undisputed Champion written on the bottom.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H presented Roman with the new belt on the show, congratulating him for 1,000 days as champion.

WWE has not made it clear which lineage – if any – this new Undisputed title will carry. The World Heavyweight title which was just recently re-introduced started from scratch and did not carry the lineage of the previous World Heavyweight title which was retired in 2013.

A replica of the new title is already available to order on WWEShop.com with an estimated shipping date of September 2023.
