Nick Aldis unveiled as the new Smackdown General Manager

Nick Aldis was introduced as the new Smackdown General Manager last night on the season premiere of Smackdown by Triple H.

The GM role was brought back and Triple H also appointed Adam Pearce as the Raw GM, saying that he’s done a “thankless job” overseeing both shows for the past three years.

“The opportunity of a lifetime. Thank you @TripleH @WWE,” wrote Aldis on X after the show. “Onwards and upwards for the blue brand!”

His wife, Mickie James, told him that she loves him and she was really happy right now. “Can we celebrate already?! Ps… Aldis Family Business just picked up,” she added.

Aldis’ first order of business was to introduce Kevin Owens as the new Smackdown Superstar who was traded to the blue brand after Jey Uso went to Raw.

The former NWA and TNA champion has never worked an on-screen character with WWE before and actually never worked for WWE at all before this August. Aldis was doing a producer job on both Raw and Smackdown.
