The popular Nikkita Lyons announced on Instagram that she is suffering from a partial MCL tear and sprain.
Lyons was taken out of the NXT Women’s Breakout tournament, a tournament which she was favorite to win, and replaced by Tiffany Stratton. Stratton went on to the final and will now take on former ROH Women’s champion Roxanne Perez.
The good news for Lyons is that surgery is not required as rehab is supposed to do the trick. A grade 1 MCL tear usually can heal within three weeks but a grade 2 or 3 tear requires further treatment.
She did not state how long she will be out for.
