Nikkita Lyons tears both ACL and meniscus, out for up to nine months

Fan favorite NXT star Nikkita Lyons announced on social media that she tore both her ACL and meniscus and is looking at a nine-month recovery before she can return to the ring.

“This comeback is personal. Thank you to all who consistently show love & genuine support every week,” Lyons wrote on Instagram. “You have no idea how much it means to me. Those of you who don’t see the vision, thank you too. Stay ya a** right there.”

She said that this setback is just another lesson life needed to teach.

The 23-year-old from Las Vegas was written off NXT television last night after she was attacked in the parking lot at the WWE Performance Center. Her attacker was not revealed although they did show Zoey Stark leaving.

Lyons had already suffered a partial tear of her MCL last year and was pulled from the Women’s Breakout Tournament, a tournament she was favorite to win.
