NXT favorite Nikkita Lyons yesterday underwent successful surgery to repair both her ACL and meniscus which were torn.
Lyons announced the surgery on social media, adding a photo of herself in a hospital bed as she came out from under the knife.
“Surgery was a success. Thank you deeply to the WWE Universe, my Lyon Pride for all the love and support you show. I’ll be back stronger than I’ve ever been,” she wrote, before thanking the surgeons, doctors, and nurses.
The 23-year-old from Las Vegas was written off NXT television last week after she was attacked in the parking lot at the WWE Performance Center. Her attacker was not revealed although they did show Zoey Stark leaving.
She is now facing up to nine months out as she starts her rehabilitation.
