No Axxess at SummerSlam weekend this year

Unlike previous years, WWE will not be having Axxess at this year’s SummerSlam, which has been a feature in the calendar ever since the event has been moved to Los Angeles.

It’s not known if the other WWE-related events in the Los Angeles area will happen that weekend but there are two non-televised live WWE events on the Friday and Saturday before the show so most likely all the extra parties and events will be absent this year.

Axxess used to be held at the Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live the day before and on the day of SummerSlam as WWE tried to market the pay-per-view on a similar feel of a WrestleMania but obviously on a smaller scale.

This will be the sixth year in a row that WWE holds SummerSlam at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California, after they moved the show there in 2009.
