NXT Cruiserweight title changes hands

There’s a new NXT Cruiserweight champion after Roderick Strong of The Diamond Mine defeated Kushida to win his second singles title in NXT following his stint as North American champion.

Strong did however require the assistance of the rest of his faction to finish off Kushida with multiple distractions and a flying superman punch from Ivy Nile before he hit his finishing move to cover Kushida for the three count.

The Diamond Mine’s celebration was cut short though as Grayson Waller interrupted and challenged Strong for a title match next week. Bivens accepted the challenge and told Waller that he will see next week why The Diamond Mine runs NXT.

Kushida held the title for 161 days, winning it from Santos Escobar on an episode of NXT back in April.
