NXT Gold Rush announced, Rollins vs Breakker headlines night one

WWE announced a two-night NXT Gold Rush last night which will take place next week on June 20 and the following week on June 27.

The main event of night one will be a big one as WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins accepted Bron Breakker’s challenge to come to Orlando and defend the title. Rollins was the first-ever NXT champion and was part of the NXT roster until he got called up with The Shield.

The main event of night two will feature NXT champion Carmelo Hayes defending the title against Baron Corbin. Corbin earned the right to challenge for the title after he beat Ilja Dragunov on last night’s show after some help from Breakker.

Night one will also have two more title matches, with Wes Lee defending the NXT North American title against Tyler Bate while NXT Women’s champion Tiffany Stratton defends against Thea Hail.

In addition, an NXT Tag Team title number one contender’s three-way match will see Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen vs Edris Enofe and Malik Blade vs Tank Ledger and Hank Walker, with the winners taking on Gallus on night two of Gold Rush.
