The final match of the NXT UK Heritage Cup tournament was decided yesterday on the weekly NXT UK broadcast on the WWE Network with Trent Seven taking on A-Kid for the big one.
Announced prior to the relaunch of the NXT UK brand, the Heritage Cup is based on traditional British wrestling rules, with each match having six rounds of three minutes each and a 20-second break in between. All matches are two-out-of-three falls and a round ends via pinfall, submission, or count-out. Whoever gets to two falls first wins the match and a DQ or knockout will immediately ends the match.
To advance to the final match, Seven had to go through Kenny Williams and Dave Mastiff while A-Kid defeated Flash Morgan Webster and Noam Dar.
The finals of the NXT UK Heritage Cup tournament will take place two weeks from now on the November 26 episode of NXT UK.
