Paige suspended for 60 days for second Wellness Program strike

WWE Superstar Paige has been suspended for 60 days effective immediately for her second violation of the WWE Wellness Program.

Paige was suspended in August on her birthday along with her boyfriend Alberto Del Rio. In a post last month to explain why she was suspended, Paige wrote, “Let me be clear that I was not suspended for failing a drug test, it was merely due to a procedural issue,” the former champion wrote. “I arranged said test to happen after I wasn’t at my home when Aegis [who administer WWE’s drug tests] contacted me. I didn’t do it in time, according to Aegis,” she wrote, adding that she drove 200 miles to do it.

She is currently out injured and is about to undergo surgery to repair her neck under the care of Dr. Juan Uribe at Tampa General Hospital.

It’s not known why Paige was suspended this time around. WWE doesn’t publish why their talent are suspended and it’s up to the talent to reveal the reason if the want to.
