Paul Ellering returns to manage new NXT tag team

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering made a shocking return yesterday on WWE television, accompanying the new NXT tag team The Authors of Pain during the NXT Takeover: The End show.

Ellering, the former manager of the Road Warriors, showed up after Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani demolished American Alpha following their loss to The Revival. The NXT fans at Full Sail did not recognize the legendary manager and chanted “Who are you?” at him.

Dhinsa and Selmani have been teaming up at non-televised NXT events for the past several months and yesterday it was their first NXT televised appearance. Ellering has not appeared on WWE television since the 2011 Hall of Fame and the next night at WrestleMania, accepting the honor along with Road Warrior Animal.
