Planned NXT Takeover: Tampa Bay matches to air on NXT on USA Network

The planned matches for NXT Takeover: Tampa Bay will be airing in the month of April during the regular NXT on USA Network broadcasts according to a story published today by Sports Illustrated.

The Takeover for WrestleMania weekend has been cancelled and will not air as a standalone show with WWE opting to spread the matches that were scheduled over the course of the next month. Triple H will be appearing on NXT tomorrow to make the official announcement.

Up until plans went sideways, only one match was officially announced for the show and that was the women’s ladder match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s title. Three have already qualified to be part of this match – Chelsea Green, Mia Yim, and Tegan Nox – while the rest are still to be determined.
