President Trump holds conference call with sports leaders including Vince McMahon

United States President Donald Trump held a conference call today with leaders of all major sports leagues in the United States which also included WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and UFC President Dana White. The conference call took place at Noon.

WWE and the UFC are the only ones which are still going ahead with shows although the UFC have had less luck in finding locations where to hold their next pay-per-view event after having cancelled a few shows over the past few weeks due to the coronavirus. WWE has used their own Performance Center for multiple recordings, including today’s WrestleMania, but with Florida under lockdown, WWE has to move to continue tapings unless a special waiver is granted.

Adam Schefter from ESPN reported that other individuals invited to the conference call included Adam Silver from the NBA, Cathy Engelbert from the WNBA, Rob Manfred from the MLB, Roger Goodell from the NFL, Gary Bettman from the NHL, Jay Monahan from PGA Tour, John Middlebrook from NASCAR and Don Garber from MLS.

Trump has a news conference set at 3:30PM at the White House today but it’s not known if he will address what was discussed at the conference call earlier.
