Randy Orton has started working on the upcoming WWE Studios movie 12 Rounds: Reloaded and has been removed from all future non-televised live events till production finishes. According to several trade magazines, filming will actually kick off on September 26 in Vancouver, Canada, and he’s expected to work some television dates.
Orton will star in this sequel to John Cena’s 12 Rounds after he was dumped from the third installment of The Marine, titled Homefront, following complaints from his previous USMC platoon which Orton served with. WWE eventually pulled Orton after some pressure from the Marines Corp and he was replaced by The Miz.
In 12 Rounds: Reloaded, Orton will play an EMT who finds himself caught up in a deadly 12-round game thanks to someone tied to his paramedic’s past.
David Benullo wrote the script with Roel Reine directing this second WWE Studios film deal with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. This is Orton’s second WWE Studios movie as he previously appeared in That’s What I Am.
