Randy Orton has surgery to repair meniscus tear

WWE.COM reported today that Randy Orton underwent successful surgery to repair a medial meniscus tear in his left knee.

The former WWE champion is now at home recovering and has been aware for quite a few months that he needed to get it done. “I’ve known I needed the surgery since late last year, but I’ve been waiting for the right time to get my knee cleaned out,” Orton told WWE.com. “Right now was the right time.”

Recovery period for a meniscus tear is usually around 3 months although athletes tend to recover quicker.
