Raw’s move to TV-14 put on hold after USA Network memo sent prematurely

The apparent move to TV-14 for Monday Night Raw came to a screeching halt the same day it was leaked after a memo at USA Network was sent out prematurely according to Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Podcast who originally broke the news.

“This is a wild situation,” Zarian wrote. “There’s a lot happening behind the scenes. WWE Raw won’t be going to TV-14 on July 18th, but still in consideration for a later date.”

The news of the switch was met with joy online, including from several WWE Superstars who addressed the issue. One particular Superstar, Natalya, wrote that she’s been bad lately and needed to be “spanked,” adding #PG14Nattie to her tweet.

Raw has been carrying a TV-PG rating since July 2008 after the company decided to do more family-friendly programming to attract a wider audience and more corporate sponsorships.
